Technical Sales Engineer
With my background as a condensed matter physicist, I can relate to our customers' needs. Every once in a while, I get to handle an inquiry similar to one I had before as a graduate student, and I recall how much easier it would have been had I been able to get in touch with the correct technician or engineer.
Dr. Ehab Abdelhamid received his BSc in Physics from Ain Shams University in Egypt in 2005 and PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from Wayne State University in 2016. While studying for his PhD and as a post-doc, he became knowledgeable of the synthesis and characterization of different multiferroic and magneto-electric systems, with most magnetic and ferroelectric measurements carried out at cryogenic temperatures.
Dr. Abdelhamid then held teaching assistant, adjunct professor, and post-doctoral researcher positions at several universities in Egypt and the U.S. before joining Janis Research as a Sales Engineer in 2019. In his current position as Technical Sales Engineer for Lake Shore Cryotronics, he is responsible for communicating with customers and presenting the most suited system for their intended application. He believes the lab experience obtained while studying at Wayne State provides him with insights into the type of problems and challenges customers handle in their day-to-day work and enables him to offer the best Lake Shore product for their specific application.
Dr. Abdelhamid has published more than 15 papers and contributed to many scientific meetings, and is currently a reviewer for Journal of Electronic Materials, Materials Chemistry and Physics, and other scientific journals.
