Model CCS-100/202 standard, optical, sample in vacuum 10 K cryocooler with SHI cold head
The original APD Cryogenics pneumatically driven, 10 K cryocoolers using Displex™ refrigeration system technology are available. These cryocoolers are supplied with either Lake Shore cryostats or as "bare" systems and are provided
in the SHI 202 10 K closed cycle system configuration. A complete range of accessories and ancillary equipment is available.
Model CCS-100/204 standard, optical, sample in vacuum 10 K cryocooler with SHI cold head
The original APD Cryogenics pneumatically driven, 10 K cryocoolers using Displex™ refrigeration system technology are available. These cryocoolers are supplied with either Lake Shore cryostats or as "bare" systems and are provided
in the SHI 204 10 K closed cycle system configuration. A complete range of accessories and ancillary equipment is available.
Model CCS-100-XG low vibration, 10 K cryocooler with SHI cold head
The Lake Shore CCS-100-XG cools materials and devices to <10 K, with nanometer-level vibrations. This versatile vibration isolated cryogen-free closed-cycle refrigerator comes in standard, UHV, and microscopy configurations. The
microscopy configuration offers a 2 mm working distance. 5 K and 10 K configurations for magnetic and electrical measurements are also available.

Other configurations
Model CCS-400H/204N with a special mounting flange on the bottom of the cold head
This mounting flange can be included on most closed-cycle systems with a Sumitomo CH-202, CH-204, or CH-204N cold head. This is an optional item and not included in our standard systems. If you are interested in the mounting flange, please
contact us.
Diacell® CCS-DAC system from easyLab
easyLab's model Diacell® CCS-DAC system uses a special model CCS-100/204 cryostat. Visit easyLab's website for more information.
Model CCS-HV/204 high-vacuum 10 K cryocooler
This photo shows a special high-temperature model CCS-HV/204. The instrumentation skirt was machined from a solid aluminum tube. It has a special flange for mating with the customer's vacuum chamber. This cryostat is designed for high vacuum.
The customer provided the radiation shield and vacuum chamber (not shown).
Standard window block with countersunk screw holes option
Lake Shore usually uses pan-head screws on the retainers of window blocks, which add about 0.125 in into each side of the window block. In cases were space is an issue, talk to your sales engineer about countersunk screw holes in
the retainers so that flathead screws can be used, as shown in this photo. This option can be offered on most window blocks with o-ring sealed windows. The window block shown can be used on our model VPF-100, VPF-100H, ST-100,
CCS-100/202, CCS-100/204, and SHI-4-2.
Modified window block
The photos show a standard optical cryostat with a specially modified window block. Two of the windows are our standard 1.63 in diameter clear view fused quartz. The other two windows are a special 2.63 in diameter clear view fused
quartz. This window block can be used as an option on many other systems such as ST-100, VPF-100, SHI-4-2, SHI-4-5, SHI-4, CCS-100/202, and CCS-100/204. (The CCS-100/204 uses an optional large window using a different
window block.) Contact us for more information.
Optional rotating stand for 4 K and 10 K cryocooler systems
This model PTSHI-4-5 features an optional rotating stand that allows the user to flip the entire cryostat upside-down. This is convenient for changing samples. The cryostat itself is rather heavy and it doesn't have any flat surface that will
allow it to rest upside-down by itself. Without this rotating stand, gaining access to the sample area would be very difficult and inconvenient. This particular stand is designed to hold the cryostat 50 mm above the surface of an
optical table but could be designed to hold the cryostat at any height specified by the customer. This stand can be used for 4 K and 10 K cryocooler systems. Contact us for more information.
