New 240 temperature module communication protocols
NEW Expanded RS-485 communication options

Lake Shore 240-2P and 240-8P modules now offer greater system integration flexibility with support for additional communication protocols over the built-in RS-485 interface. Alongside the existing PROFIBUS-DP protocol, users can now select Modbus RTU multidrop communication or Lake Shore ASCII point-to-point communication. These new options simplify integration with PLCs, industrial controllers, embedded PCs, SBCs, and a wide range of automation and control software platforms.

Firmware version 2.4 and later includes support for these communication modes and is installed on units shipped after August 31, 2026. Customers with earlier units can upgrade existing firmware in the field using the MeasureLINK 240 firmware updater.
