These Sumitomo RDK-305D systems provide 0.4 W of cooling at a temperature of 4.2 K at the second stage and can reach a minimum temperature below 3.5 K (with no parasitic or experimental heat loads). The 0.4 W systems employ a smaller compressor and cold head than the 1 W systems. The compressor is available in an air-cooled version only, in conjunction with 10 m long flexible gas lines.
