Wellness program

Exercise room at Lake ShoreThe mission of Lake Shore's Wealth of Health wellness program is to create a culture and environment that fosters healthier lifestyle choices to reduce risks, improve well-being, and maintain a productive, active workforce. The wellness program is supported by a twelve member wellness committee composed of Lake Shore employees. The committee organizes a variety of activities throughout the year promoting employee wellness, reinforcing the Wealth of Health mission statement. Lake Shore Cryotronics has received the 2012 Healthy Ohio Healthy Worksite Gold Award, and the Bronze Award in 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Lake Shore is a silver sponsor of the Westerville Parks Foundation B&W (bike and walk) and FitQuest programs, and we partner with Westerville Parks and Recreation for some of our programs. We sponsor a men's basketball team, men's and co-ed softball teams, and co-ed volleyball teams each year. Lake Shore also sponsors a team for the Making Strides breast cancer walk in October of each year.

Social responsibility

Lake Shore and its employees hold an annual Food Drive supporting the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (W.A.R.M). Each year, since 2006, our employees have exceeded the previous years' donations to W.A.R.M., which has enabled them to reach out even further into the community with a hand up.

Student Day at Lake Shore is an event opened to high school sophomore and junior AP Physics, Chemistry and Material Science students from local area high schools. This half day event at our facility exhibits the variety of technical, scientific and engineering jobs we employ and explains how our products are used in the science community. It is our hope that showcasing our facility, manufacturing environment and products, and explaining real-life science applications will create an interest for the students to seek a career in a technical field of study.

Lake Shore recognizes it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to help enrich the surrounding communities of residence and work by contributing both monetarily, as well as through volunteerism, to community-sponsored events. Additionally, since the company is primarily involved in technical areas requiring strong educational backgrounds, educational endeavors will be a main focus in our corporate giving approach.

If your request for a charitable donation falls within the parameters of our corporate giving policy then please forward your request for donation to corporategiving@lakeshore.com for consideration and review.
