The TopCAT awards are presented each year by TechColumbus, a central Ohio technology organization, to recognize outstanding achievements in technology leadership. Out of hundreds of submissions, 12 outstanding leaders who exemplify the best in technology leadership and innovation are chosen.
The product we were nominated for is our line of cryogenic micro-manipulated probe stations. Top research institutes were profiled last year in the New York Times, using a Lake Shore probe station to aid their development of silicon-germanium chips that have processing speeds hundreds of times faster than chips currently used in personal computers and cellular phones. Our probe stations are unique tools in this ever-growing area of nanotechnology research.
We are pleased to announce that Lake Shore won in the category of Outstanding Product of the Year (for companies with more than 50 employees). Up against many much larger companies, our win was especially gratifying.
Thank you to everyone here in Westerville and at our Desert Division, who made this award possible with your hard work and dedication!
