Lake Shore FBT Series fiber optic sensors are designed for dependable temperature measurement in challenging operating environments, over the widest commercially available temperature range—from -200 °C to +250 °C.

To the inherent characteristics of optical fiber and Bragg grating technology (for safe, non-electrical sensing impervious to electromagnetic interference), Lake Shore has added its proven expertise in sensor packaging, intimate knowledge of cryogenic applications, and long-standing reputation for accurate, reliable metrology.

The result is a new line of wide-range temperature sensors that provide unmatched convenience and applicability for researchers, aerospace and industrial users dealing with extreme environments.

  • You immediately notice the unique packaging, designed to make it much easier to place the sensors exactly where you want them, while still enabling the multiplexing and chaining capabilities of Fiber Bragg Grating-based sensors.
  • The all-dielectric package is especially suited for measuring in places with high electrical noise or magnetism, such as plasma and high-energy test labs.
  • Cryogenic operating capability and wide measurement range support the requirements of many advanced research, aerospace and industrial applications.

For over 40 years, researchers and engineers have turned to Lake Shore for precision temperature sensing. Now Lake Shore fiber optic sensors and probes make it possible to achieve accurate, reliable measurement in the most demanding applications.
